My 6-digit code is not accepted
Codes change every 30 seconds. Wait for a new code and type it quickly.
Your phone's clock must be exact. In your phone settings, set date and time to automatic.
Check that you use the code for the right account in your app.
"Key value has illegal character" when I paste the key
The key has an extra space, line break or character. Copy it again. Paste it into a note first, remove spaces, then copy it into your app.
I do not get the push notification
Allow notifications for Visma Authenticator in your phone settings.
Keep the app open during setup.
Still nothing? Use Option B in the main article with 6-digit codes.
I only see the app option, not SMS
That is correct. SMS is only a backup. You add it after you set up an app. You can also add phone numbers later in Account Settings.
I already had 2FA. Why must I set it up again?
You may have 2FA in another system, for example in the application itself or in Google or Microsoft. Visma sign-in has its own 2FA, so you need to set it up once here. You can add it to the same authenticator app you already use.
I lost my phone, got a new phone, or changed my phone number
Start signing in. On the 2FA screen, click Try another way.
Choose Use one-time emergency code and type your code.
Choose I have permanently lost access to Authenticator app. This starts the setup again with your new phone.
No emergency code? Contact your local application support (the application you are trying to login to). They can make a new one. More about signing in with 2FA.
