Visma Connect IdP is used by many applications in Visma. The look & feel of each application can differ based on Apps preferences for background image, display, color and location of texts.
You can see if an application is using Visma Connect IdP if the application you try to sign in to redirects in the browser to the URL starting with https://connect.visma.com/
Each application where you are asked to sign in can offer different options to sign in with by default.
Some applications, like Visma Home above, only offer Visma Connect IdP itself, where you need to enter the email address and on step 2 your password.
Other applications, can show more options to sign in with as for example Account Settings application, which also displays by default the options to use sign in with social Identity Providers, such as Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, GitHub.
In some applications, you might experience to not even get this screen shown, but straight away you get redirected to sign in with a certain Identity Provider, depending on what the application decides it requires, as for example Google or even a certain Electronic ID like Sign in with BankID ( or Mobile BankID)
Email address
In the case you enter your Email address or use another social Identity Provider where you enter your email, please consider that each email-address is a unique user account in our system and your access rights depend on which email you enter or use, for the case you are using different applications with different accounts. Example: work related email to access work-related applications with the proper access rights and personal email to access applications for personal reasons like for example school related access.
Once you click on the “Next“ button you will get into Sign in - step two to enter password or get to own Identity Provider.
Save the email address for next time
For your own convenience, you can “Save my email address for next time“, which will have as impact to no longer see the step to enter the email address the next time you wish to sign in.
You will see straight away the next screen where you enter your password or can sign in with your own Identity Provider (as in EntraID - former AzureAD, or Okta or another if this is setup for your email domain by an authorized user from your organization). You can also experience to get straight redirected to your own Identity Provider in the case your organization enforces the usage and allows no other option.
Sign in with security key or biometrics
We display by default the option to “Sign in with security key or biometrics”". It is not available only on incompatible devices/browsers.
Having this option displayed, does not necessarily mean that you have registered a security key or passkey. In this step of sign in, we do not know who you are so therefore if you use multiple accounts to sign in, you will have to choose as which account to continue.
Change language
Each application can support a certain set of languages. You can change the language from the right down language selector, by clicking on the displayed Language:
The language selector stores your last used preferred language or starts with your browser language or default language set by the application if you are using your account to sign in for the first time. In the case your browser language is not supported and no other default language is sent, the default language is English.
About cookies
Any application requires some mandatory cookies and can require optional cookies. Your will get asked about your cookie preferences if you are using a browser/device for the first time.
About cookies includes a list of the cookies and explains what each means or is used for.
