Set up 2FA when you only have one device

The setup screen shows a QR code. Normally you scan it with your phone. If the QR code is on the same phone, you cannot scan it. Use the secret key instead. It does the same thing.

If you only have your phone

  1. Install Visma Authenticator, or another authenticator app, on your phone.

  2. Start the setup in your phone's browser. Go to the screen with the QR code.

  3. Under the QR code, find the Account secret key. Tap Copy, or press and hold to copy it.

  4. Open your authenticator app. Choose Input key (Visma Authenticator) or "Enter a setup key" (other apps).

  5. Paste the key. Make sure there are no spaces at the start or end. Tap Add.

  6. Go back to your browser and finish the setup.

Step 3 - Copying the Key (green letters and numbers as shown in the picture).

Note, this is an example. Your screen will show you a different key than the one here in the picture.

Step 4 - Click Scan QR code

Step 5 - You will see a button “Input key”, which you can use to access the screen to paste the Key that you previously copied (next picture).

If you only have a computer
