# Using MFA/2-step authentication

Certain Visma applications mandate the use of **Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)** (aka 2-step authentication) for users authenticating through an external Identity Provider (IdP).

To meet this requirement, configure mandatory MFA within your IdP's settings. Consult your IdP's official documentation or use the specific links provided below for guidance:
